OmniEyes Selected for Japan’s MLIT 2026 Commercial Vehicle Safety Subsidy Program
Institutional listings strengthen recognition of OmniEyes’ AI fleet-safety platform and enable eligible Japanese customers to receive government support for deployment
TAIPEI / TOKYO — August 5, 2026 — OmniEyes, a Taiwan-based AI fleet safety and video telematics company, announced that its OmniEyes AI Box has been selected for Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLTI) 2026 commercial vehicle safety subsidy program.
The MLIT subsidy eligibility confirms that the OmniEyes solution satisfies the technical and functional requirements of Japan’s national commercial vehicle safety-support program. More importantly, eligible Japanese transportation operators can now apply for government subsidies when deploying OmniEyes solution, reducing the initial investment required for fleet-wide adoption.
Unlike other drive recorders used mainly for post-incident review, OmniEyes combines forward-facing and driver-facing cameras, and edge AI processing to provide real-time AI detection of violations and dangerous behaviors. The AI box can detect red light running, rolling stops, tailgating, distraction, drowsiness, and failure to wear a seat belt, and provides immediate in-vehicle voice alerts.
OmniEyes’ strength is not limited to individual AI detection functions. Significant event videos and driving data can also be real-time uploaded to the cloud, enabling fleet managers to remotely review incidents, identify driver-risk patterns, and conduct data-driven safety coaching. That means real-time risk detection, immediate driver intervention, video evidence, fleet-wide risk visibility and continuous driver coaching are seamlessly integrated into a complete operational workflow.

The subsidy eligibility completes the foundation for broader deployment by providing customers with both official recognition and financial support.
The OmniEyes solution has been officially listed under two subsidy categories, including: Support for Advanced Operation Management and Support for Advanced Measures to Prevent Overwork Driving. Eligible operators may receive subsidies covering one-third or one-half of qualified costs, generally subject to a maximum of JPY 800,000 per operator. Under specified Advanced Operation Management conditions, the maximum subsidy may reach JPY 1.2 million per operator.
OmniEyes will work with its Japanese partners to support taxi, bus and logistics operators in identifying the appropriate category and receiving qualified subsidy. Through this program, OmniEyes expects to accelerate the adoption of proactive AI fleet-safety technology across the Japanese commercial transportation market.
